Brain Comp — Competition Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 16 June 2026

These terms govern the “Brain Comp” prize competition run by @jakedoesai. By entering, you agree to these terms.

1. The promoter

The competition is run by @jakedoesai (trading as JakeDoesAI), contactable at jakedoesai.newsletter@gmail.com (the “Promoter”). A postal address is available on request.

2. Not affiliated with the prize providers

This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Anthropic, OpenAI, or any other company whose products or services are referenced. All product names and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only.

3. Eligibility

4. How to enter

Entry is free and no purchase is necessary. To enter, you must complete both of the following:

  1. Sign up. Join the JakeDoesAI newsletter and Brain Comp via the single sign-up form on the Brain Comp page, confirming you are 18+ and accept these terms. This is one combined opt-in; you may unsubscribe at any time without affecting an entry already made.
  2. Submit your brain. Build your Open Knowledge Format (OKF) brain and submit a publicly accessible link to it (e.g. a public GitHub repository, public Gist, or a shared zip) via the “Submit your brain” form on jakedoesai.com.

An entry is only complete once both steps are done. One entry per person. Entries that are automated, fraudulent, use another person’s details, or link to a brain that is not publicly accessible may be disqualified.

5. Entry period

The competition opens on 16 June 2026 and closes at 23:59 BST on 14 July 2026. Entries received after the closing time will not be counted. (The Promoter may update these dates; the dates shown here at the time of your entry apply.)

This competition is conditional on at least 100 valid entries being received by the closing date. If fewer than 100 valid entries are received, the Promoter may, at its discretion, extend the closing date or cancel the competition without awarding the prize. If the competition is cancelled, the Promoter will post notice on jakedoesai.com and notify entrants by email. As entry is free, no refunds arise.

6. The prize

One (1) winner will receive the cash equivalent of a Claude Max, Codex Max, or Gemini top-tier subscription — approximately £200 GBP — paid by bank transfer or another method agreed with the winner. The prize is not transferable and there is no cash-alternative beyond the equivalent value described. The Promoter may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if circumstances require.

7. Judging & winner selection

This is a competition of skill, not a prize draw. Submitted brains are judged against published criteria — including correct use of the OKF format (valid frontmatter, a reserved index.md, sensible structure), the usefulness and clarity of the curated knowledge, and overall craft. Assessment is carried out by a human judge together with AI large language models of the Promoter’s choice: the models score each entry consistently against the same criteria, and the human judge (the Promoter or an appointed judge) reviews those results, oversees the process, and makes the final decision. The submission that best meets the criteria wins; in the event of a tie, the tied entries are re-assessed against the same criteria. The Promoter keeps an auditable record of every submission link and the judging outcome.

The winner will be notified by email at the address used to sign up, within 7 days of the closing date. The winner must respond to claim the prize within 14 days of notification; if they do not, the Promoter may select the next-best eligible entry.

8. Data protection

Personal data submitted is handled in line with the Privacy Policy. Entry data is used to administer the competition and to send the newsletter you signed up for. The winner’s first name and general location may be published to announce the result; you may ask the Promoter to limit this.

9. Platform release

This competition is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with any social media or hosting platform on which it may be promoted or where brains are hosted (including TikTok, Instagram, X, YouTube, and GitHub). By entering, you release those platforms from any liability connected with the competition, and you agree your entry complies with each platform’s own terms.
